Talking about the participation of the consumer – Nicolas easily makes a step forward providing us with how game industry drives customer focused innovation. In fact what he says is already been in place for more than a decade now. Game industry is wide looking forward building huge communities within gamers even more allowed than to consume products or services. These participants create their content themselves share it within  communities. Means. The platform is the idea, the technology the way how it works and the design is not only the face but also the whole experience over a long term relationship that guarantees consumers to stay on.

    Well, my remarks concerning the game industry are less focused on on-line platforms (mmo or fps) which allows customer participation. In the console market, things are far more backwards and the notion of making users more active in the design process is not present yet.
